Styled Shoots

Puglia Bridal Editorial - Day 1

What seems like a thousand years ago now, I headed over to Puglia, Italy with a team of some of my favourite wedding suppliers for 3 days of dreamy, bridal editorial shoots. I am so excited to share with you images from day 1 of our adventure. We were so lucky to stay at a gorgeous villa hosted by Anna from Trulli & Dimore which turned out to be the perfect backdrop for our first day of shooting. Olive trees, lemon groves, pink bougainvillea climbing the walls and even a private chapel on site - we were spoilt for choice.

Daisy from Fairytale Weddings brought along seven of the most fabulous dresses, from Hayley Paige, Eliza Jane Howell and Charlie Brear as well as accessories by Miss Clemmie. Our aim was to encapsulate a modern, destination elopement, modest and maximal, simplistic yet luxe, all at once.

With hand made stationery by the amazing Laura Mazzetti and breathtaking florals by the man with the reputation as the best florist in the region, Michele Zaurino - every detail was planned to perfection. Tracey from Lusso Events was a god send, organising all aspects from the Italian side of things and helping us Brits to communicate in the process. Originally from England, Tracey is based in Venice but organised weddings all over Italy.

The most marvellous Jo Tromans was on make up AND hair for the full three days - this girl is a MUA machine and dazzled us all with her multi tasking skills. For Day 1 we had the magnetic Iris Natale modelling and boy, was she a dream to shoot!

In between shooting we really lived La Dolce Vita, we ate pasta (cooked from scratch by Michele himself and I still find myself dreaming of it now and then), we laughed, we sampled the local vino and, most importantly we made great memories alongside some gorgeous images. It’s easy when you’re with the dream team, no!?

Thanks to all the awesome creatives that made this shoot happen and to You and Your Wedding for featuring the images in their August/September issue. Watch out for day 2 & 3 getting published very soon! Tara xx

Modern Botanicals | Perfect Wedding Magazine | Styled Shoot

PUBLISHED:  What feels like many, many moons ago at the beginning of 2016, the gang and I got together on a styled shoot collaboration at Dodmoor House. A curated selection has just been published in September's issue of Perfect Wedding Magazine (yay!) which also means I can blog some of the images from the day...

INSPIRATION:  Clemmie was the head stylist for this one and we managed to squeeze lots of fabulous wedding trends in. Incorporating rose quartz (one of Pantone's colours of the year), warm metallic accents, pretty succulents, eucalyptus galore and beautiful florals in muted tones, this has to be one of my favourite looks ever.

BRIDAL INSPIRATION: Daisy from Fairytale Weddings selected some beautiful dresses from Ian Stuart and Ellis Bridal. Texture was of great importance so beads and appliqué flowers were the order of the day.

HAIR & MAKE-UP: The fantastic Joanne Tromans and Lynddy were respectively in charge for Make-Up and Hair on the day. The bold looks created were edgy and modern, veering away from traditional bridal trends. Jo created a Black Swan inspired look on beautiful Bernadette with strong eyes and muted lips. Lynddy was strongly influenced by 2016/17 catwalk looks - a perfect contrast against the girly dresses and florals.

Thanks to everyone involved (including little Bebe Daisy!) - as always a fantastic day was had with these girls. Grab a copy of September's Perfect Wedding magazine for a better look and for lots more wedding inspiration. Dream Team - Assemble...

Spring Bloom | Tara Florence & Joanne Tromans

With May just a few days away and a third of the year already passed, what better time for me to update the blog...

With the 2016 wedding season just around the corner, I'm fitting in some creative editorials before everything steps up a gear. Last week I got together with the uber talented MUA Joanne Tromans to create and capture some on trend looks on the gorgeous Sophie Gibson.

Jo is always keen to keep her finger on current trends and during this shoot she brought to life a couple of looks that were popular on the S/S '16 catwalks. One of the looks that was seen a lot was the sun-kissed complexion teamed with a fierce blue eye. Only for the brave? Well, Jo successfully scaled the look back to achieve a striking but wearable look, perfect for that week in Santorini...

Jo paired Urban Decay liner in Electric Blue with the UD eyeshadow in Shattered. Teamed with a high gloss peachy pink lip, this look has us willing on the sunshine so we can get experimenting with some bright shades.

This shoot will be featured in the June issue of Image magazine so grab a copy and get ready for a floral overload. We have incorporated beautiful cherry blossom, magnolia and some gorgeous ferns.

We were lucky enough to find some fantastic a huge bush which had bloomed with the most beautiful white flowers (florists - please comment below if you know what they are!). Although we were shooting in the Northamptonshire countryside, Sophie is emulating some serious Californian Cool with laid back hair and make up - take us to Coachella!

To see more of Jo's work pop over to her website here and don't forget to grab June's Image magazine for much more from this shoot. It's guaranteed to be a floral frenzy...

Winter Bridal Styled Shoot | Belle and Bunty

Everyone knows I love a styled shoot. Getting together with a team of creative wedding suppliers is always so much fun. Here's a secret though - I think the last one of 2015 is my favourite ever. Thanks to the lovely ladies at Fairytale Weddings we were lucky enough to get our paws on the the beautiful 2016 bridal separates by Belle & Bunty and oh - how we love them.... My personal favourites from the range are the Pearl Cami teamed with the Belle skirt - stylish simplicity in elegant ivory satin.

Clementine of Miss Clemmie Bridal Accessories was responsible for styling the shoot, designing the beautiful stationery and, of course, providing the most intricate, gorgeous adornments.

We styled diamond bands from Bijoux Jewels with antique accessories and winter hydrangeas.

Ode To September

Unbelievably it's the end of September so before we step over to October I thought I'd give you a catch up on what I've been up to.

As this years wedding season slows down it means I have more time to work on some new, awesome styled shoots. I LOVE these things - the team that get together for them are some of the best wedding suppliers in Northamptonshire and we always have such a blast when we're together. It also means we can all get super creative and try out new styles and looks out.

Earlier this month, one of our recent shoots, The Secret Garden, was featured on one of my favourite blogs, So You're Getting Married. Thanks to Phoebe from SYGM for featuring this one, it's always great to see you're work published and appreciated by others in the industry. We were lucky to work with the most gorgeous Sophie Gibson, model extraordinaire as well as some names you'll recognise from previous shoots. The look was ethereal bride and was shot in, wait for it,  a secret garden and some beautiful woodland in the Northamptonshire countryside.

You can see the full feature on SYGM here. Ooh and now I have a lovely badge to feature on my website too!

I also ventured down to Hatfield Woods with the likes of Rosie Hardy, for a Fairytale inspired shoot. Hatfield Woods is an amazing place just outside of London and is a photographer's dream. The full post will be coming soon on this one but for now here are a couple of sneak peeks from the day...
